1. （男）房东
    Someone's landlord is the man who allows them to live or work in a building which he owns, in return for rent.

    e.g. His landlord doubled the rent.
           他的房东把租金提高了一倍。

2. （酒吧的）店主，老板
    The landlord of a pub is the man who owns or runs it, or the husband of the woman who owns or runs it.

    e.g. The landlord refused to serve him because he considered him too drunk.
           酒吧老板觉得他已经喝多了，拒绝再给他添酒。

3. （家庭旅馆或客栈的）店主
    A landlord is the man who owns or runs a boarding house or inn.
