    You use verbal to indicate that something is expressed in speech rather than in writing or action.

    e.g. They were jostled and subjected to a torrent of verbal abuse...
           他们被推来搡去，受到大肆的谩骂攻击。
    e.g. We have a verbal agreement with her...
           我们和她有个口头约定。
