1. 宽的；宽阔的
    Something that is broad is wide.

    e.g. His shoulders were broad and his waist narrow...
           他细腰宽肩膀。
    e.g. The hills rise green and sheer above the broad river.
           这些小山碧绿陡峭，矗立在这条宽阔的河流之上。

2. （笑）咧开嘴的
    A broad smile is one in which your mouth is stretched very wide because you are very pleased or amused.
