1. 骑(马)
    When you ride a horse, you sit on it and control its movements.

    e.g. I saw a girl riding a horse...
           我看见一个骑马的女孩。
    e.g. Can you ride?...
           你会骑马吗？

2. 骑(自行车或摩托车)；驾驶
    When you ride a bicycle or a motorcycle, you sit on it, control it, and travel along on it.

    e.g. Riding a bike is great exercise...
           骑自行车是很好的运动。
    e.g. Two men riding on motorcycles opened fire on him...
           两个骑摩托车的男人向他开了枪。

3. 搭乘,乘坐(交通工具)
    When you ride in a vehicle such as a car, you travel in it.

    e.g. He prefers travelling on the Tube to riding in a limousine...
           他更愿意乘地铁出行，不愿坐豪华轿车。
    e.g. I was riding on the back of a friend's bicycle...
           我当时坐在一个朋友的自行车后座上。

4. (骑马、骑自行车或乘车的)旅行，旅程;车程
    A ride is a journey on a horse or bicycle, or in a vehicle.

    e.g. She took some friends for a ride in the family car...
           她开着自己的家庭轿车载着几个朋友出去兜了一圈。
    e.g. Would you like to go for a ride?...
           你想出去兜风吗？

5. (游乐场中)供骑乘的游乐设施
    In a fairground, a ride is a large machine that people ride on for fun.

6. 依赖;依靠;取决于
    If you say that one thing is riding on another, you mean that the first thing depends on the second thing.

    e.g. Billions of pounds are riding on the outcome of the election...
           几十亿英镑都取决于这次选举的结果。
    e.g. Everything rides on the judgment of these few men.
           一切都取决于对这几个人的判决。
