1. 梦想；理想
    If you have an ambition to do or achieve something, you want very much to do it or achieve it.

    e.g. His ambition is to sail round the world...
           他的梦想是环球航行。
    e.g. He harboured ambitions of becoming a Tory MP.

2. 雄心；抱负；野心
    Ambition is the desire to be successful, rich, or powerful.

    e.g. Even when I was young I never had any ambition.
