1. （声音）响亮的；（声源）发出响亮声音的；吵闹的
    If a noise is loud, the level of sound is very high and it can be easily heard. Someone or something that is loud produces a lot of noise.

    e.g. Suddenly there was a loud bang...
           忽然传来一声巨响。
    e.g. His voice became harsh and loud...
           他提高了嗓门，嗓音也刺耳起来。
