1. 让人讨厌的；糟糕的
    If you say that someone or something is awful, you dislike that person or thing or you think that they are not very good.

    e.g. We met and I thought he was awful...
           我们见了面，我觉得他很讨人厌。
    e.g. I couldn't stand London! Bloody awful place.
           我在伦敦再也呆不下去了！简直是个糟糕至极的地方。
