1. 演员（单数形式的actor通常指男演员，但有些女演员喜欢被称为actor而不是actress)
    An actor is someone whose job is acting in plays or films. 'Actor' in the singular usually refers to a man, but some women who act prefer to be called 'actors' rather than 'actresses'.

    e.g. His father was an actor in the Cantonese Opera Company...
           他的父亲是粤剧团的演员。
    e.g. You have to be a very good actor to play that part.
           要想演那个角色，你必须是个非常出色的演员。
